Meet the Doctor

Dr. Deborah K. Davis dreamed of living in Portland since her first summer visit with friends. After raising her son, she moved from Texas and has made Oregon her home since 1994. After several years as a chiropractic patient, she was inspired to become a chiropractor. She was drawn to this non-drug, non-surgical method of health care, and in 2003 earned her doctorate from Western States Chiropractic College in northeast Portland. “I believe that chiropractic care is about more than keeping the spine in alignment. The body is naturally designed to be whole and healthy. By keeping the bones of the spine free to move naturally, the nervous system is better able to communicate with all areas of the body which helps us remain healthy.”
Dr. Davis is one of two chiropractors in Lake Oswego who are Activator certified. Her patients receive a gentle, low force adjustment to the spine. The Activator is also used to adjust the wrists, elbows, shoulders, ankles, knees, hips and smaller joints in the body. Dr. Davis often includes physical therapy with the treatment. She also teaches muscle stretching and strengthening exercises to help prevent re-injury. Dr. Davis has taught anatomy and physiology at Clackamas Community College college, and has served as a community volunteer in literacy programs for children and adults.
